Camp Doublecreek was founded in 1971 by Uncle Carter and Aunt Trudy, who wanted to give children, ages 4-14, of the greater Austin area, a place where they could thrive in the summers.
We're proud to continue Uncle Carter and Aunt Trudy's dreams through encouraging, challenging, engaging, and inspiring our campers every single day. We accomplish these goals, by using a variety of summer camp activities lead by our supportive and caring staff. We know how important it is for campers of all ages, as well as our staff, to go home at the end of the day knowing that someone believes in them.
to reach new heights
in personal growth
to chase goals
to overcome obstacles
ot only do camp activities provide an opportunity for our campers to have fun and be active, but they also help our campers grow in important ways. Through a variety of summer camp activities lead by our supportive and caring staff, we encourage, challenge, engage, and inspire our campers every single day. We know how important it is for campers of all ages to go home at the end of the day knowing that someone believes in them.
Camp activities are important because they provide an opportunity for physical activity, teach new skills, build confidence, encourage teamwork, and are FUN! Physical activity is so important for kids of all ages. It helps them stay healthy and fit, and it's a great way to release energy.
At camp, we provide a variety of opportunities for our campers to be active through sports, games, and other fun physical activities. Camp is the perfect place for kids to try new things and learn new skills. Our supportive staff is always there to encourage campers to step outside their comfort zones and try something new. Trying new things can be scary, but we help our campers build confidence by challenging them in a safe and supportive environment. Whether it's trying a new sport or learning how to mount a horse, we want our campers to feel proud of themselves for taking risks and trying something new.
Camp is also a great place for kids to learn about teamwork. Working together towards a common goal is an important skill that will help our campers succeed both now and in the future. Last but not least, camp activities are just plain fun! Our goal is for our campers to have the time of their lives at camp while making memories that will last a lifetime.
