It's that time of the year! Time to celebrate the arrival of Spring and the celebration of St. Patrick's Day! The color that goes with spring is green! I know that spring doesn't have an official color. However, at our new location at Kelly Lane (Doesn't Kelly sound Irish?) I can't help but notice how green everything is. Green grass, green leaves, green weeds...... we're working on the weeds.

St. Patrick's Day is a celebration of all things green and all things Irish. Never mind that the color originally associated with St. Patrick's Day was blue.

Spring is the season for regrowth and new life. This Spring, Doublecreek is witnessing all kinds of new life. We have a new location and new activities all suited for our new location. We even have a new Mascot! The mascot's name is "Lucky". Lucky is so cool! Lucky has personality and has shared with us some wonderful ideas. During the winter storm last month, we suffered a lot of tree damage. We lost a huge oak tree when the ice caused it to fall over. Lucky had a terrific idea! We trimmed off all the limbs and left about twelve feet of the trunk. Lucky said it would make a fabulous bench for campers to sit on. After looking at it, I have to agree with Lucky. Lucky is more than a mascot, lucky is an idea machine!
